Matlhogonolo Community Outreach Centre (MCOC) was founded in 2017, by Prince Phetoe in Diepkloof, Soweto.
Born out of the urgent need to address poverty, educational inequality, and social challenges in township communities, MCOC has grown into a multi-program organization dedicated to holistic youth and community development.

He leads with a blend of charisma and determination, making sure the mission and impact of the organization reach new heights. he thrives on innovation and empowering communities. Lehlohonolo Mahomotja
Strategic Director
Known as the Storm, she is the flames for the organization’s success. She lights up the path with her leadership, with expertise in talent management, organizational development, and employee well-being, she ensures a motivated and aligned workforce. Her strategic direction drives the organization’s initiatives, creating sustainable change.
Choviness Mphela
Programs Coordinator
Choviness Mphela is a community builder at heart and the powerhouse behind our programs. As Programs Coordinator, she turns big ideas into real-life impact planning, executing, and evaluating initiatives that touch lives. Choviness doesn’t just lead programs she rallies teams, uplifts spirits, and shows up with purpose. If team spirit were a sport, she’d be the captain, coach, and cheer squad all rolled into one. Her mantra? “I am because we are.”
Nkosinathi Radebe
Chief Financial Officer
Commonly known as the Boss, Nkosinathi is our resident innovator and problem solver and always. As CFO, he fuses finance with innovation and sustainability across the organization. He’s known for turning limited resources into high-impact outcomes, he’s strong background in program design, monitoring and evaluation, and operational strategy, he keeps the organization running like high-speed WiFi – always connected, always ahead.
Jacob Phetoe
Program Director
With a heart rooted in community service, and hands on the soil, Jocab is a community whisperer. He has a deep commitment to community engagement and outreach. Jacob leads the design and implementation of programs that extend the organization’s impact, known for building strong relationships. They say Jacob can sniff a struggle a thousand miles away. He loves the garden and seeing his plants grow!
